Professional Learning Communities (PLCs)
Lamar County educators engage in Professional Learning Communities as a key strategy to ensure high-quality teaching and learning that prepares students for future success. Teachers meet twice per month to collaborate, analyze data from formative assessments, and use a district-developed PLC template to guide focused conversations. This process helps ensure that instruction is thoughtfully tailored to meet the needs of all students, every day, in every classroom.
Through shared expertise, purposeful dialogue, and a focus on student growth, our PLCs support meaningful learning today: so that every student is equipped to succeed tomorrow.
