Instructional Technology

The role of technology in education has expanded rapidly in recent years, transforming how teachers teach and how students learn. In today’s fast-paced, digitally connected world, both educators and students need strong technology skills to thrive academically and professionally.

Our district is committed to integrating instructional technology in meaningful ways to enhance teaching, boost student engagement, and support personalized learning. From interactive tools to digital platforms, we provide ongoing training and support to ensure our educators are equipped to use technology effectively in the classroom.

We also understand the impact artificial intelligence (AI) is having on both education and the job market. As AI tools become more common in everyday life, it’s essential that teachers and students learn to use them ethically and responsibly, following the guidelines set forth by the Georgia Department of Education (GADOE).

AI has the potential to enhance learning by helping teachers streamline tasks such as lesson planning and data analysis. For students, AI can offer personalized learning experiences, support creative expression, and build future-ready skills that align with the demands of a changing workforce. Our goal is to ensure that AI is used thoughtfully to support instructional goals while promoting digital citizenship and academic integrity.

Instructional technology is more than devices: it’s about creating dynamic, future-ready learning environments where every student can succeed.
