Georgia Standards
“Educating Georgia’s Future” is the vision for the Georgia State Department of Education. To that effort the focus is on researched-based continuous school improvement, teaching and learning, and professional learning. Teaching and learning research shows that standards-based learning is key to a student’s success in the classroom. The Curriculum in Georgia is the Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE). The organized GSE framework has a common sense approach that continues with the standards-based format that drives both instruction and assessment for Georgia’s teachers and students.
