In 2007, Lamar County Schools joined the National Network of Partnership Schools, a research-based approach to help school systems provide direct support to schools to strengthen their programs of family and community involvement. In FY2011, the Georgia Department of Education adopted National PTA Standards for Family-School Partnerships as the state's model in engaging parents, students, and the community. Our PIC provide tips and ideas on how you can help your child in the core content areas on her monthly newsletter? These are distributed to car riders, district/school waiting areas including the parent resource areas at each school?
Learning Support Specialists assist the PIC in organizing and ensuring that our academic assistance to parents is aligned to each school’s needs?
