Hello Trojans & Lamar County Elementary School Family!

It is with great pleasure to serve as your Assistant Principal. I am a proud native of central Georgia and love our community. I completed my Bachelor of Arts degree in History-Secondary Education from Gordon State College. I also earned a Master of Curriculum and Instruction degree from Columbus State University and a Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from Valdosta State University. I am currently completing work towards a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Samford University. My dissertation and research interests are focused on the underrepresentation of minority students receiving gifted education services.

Additionally, I am certified in Educational Leadership-Tier II, Curriculum and Instruction, Special Education, History-Economics, Language Arts, and Gifted Education and was recognized as the Lamar County Middle School Teacher of the Year in 2019. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, fishing, reading and walking.

I am looking forward to working with each of you and furthering the work of our learning community. I share a strong commitment to our school’s vision of providing all students with an equitable and excellent education that prepares them for college, career, and life.
