Parent Input Requested for Title I and Title V

What? You are invited to provide input and assist us in developing the Lamar County School System’s Parent and Family Engagement Policy; Streamlined-Comprehensive LEA Improvement Plan (S-CLIP), and Equity Action Plan.  Your input is invaluable to our planning and providing the best service for your child’s success.

Why? The Lamar County School System receives Title IA and Title V funds as a part of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (ESEA). Title I is designed to support academic standards and provide resources to improve teaching and learning for low-achieving students. Title IA also provides funding to increase and improve parent involvement.

How?  The deadline for the opportunity to complete the Annual Parent Quality Survey is passed but you can continue to provide input at anytime on the Lamar County School System’s Parent and Family Engagement Policy; Streamlined-Comprehensive LEA Improvement Plan (S-CLIP); and Equity Action Plan which are posted below for your review. If you have any suggestions or questions, please feel free to contact Patti Hitson, by emailing her at These plans will be online all year for your input anytime.
